Newport Surf Life Saving Club

Newport Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) boasts a club bar overlooking the pristine waters and tranquil green hills of Newport Beach and surrounds. The bar is open to the public on Fridays and Sundays from 5pm; no need to be a member to enjoy the sights, delights and beverage options at this local hub.

Every Friday night popular local duo Michael King and Nic Long play the best in classic 60s rock ā€˜nā€™ roll, entertaining crowds with covers of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan and other great musicians.

Throughout the year, the appealing venue with ocean

Newport SLSC has long been a pivotal part of the Northern Beaches community with its gorgeous club venue and services, educating adults and children to be competent and safe in the beach and surf environment. The club also hosts a number of lifesaving and educational programs such as Bronze Medallion, First Aid, Surf Rescue Certificate and many other courses.

It also plays host to a popular Nipper program for ages six years to early 20ā€™s and is proud to also run an inspiring Nipper program for children with special needs. Newport SLSC prides itself on keeping the general public safe by providing a beach that is patrolled by qualified volunteer members throughout weekends in summer.
