Jamaica Blue Warringah will be hosting a Mother’s Day High Tea next Thursday for locals to celebrate and spend quality times with their loved ones.
Following the success of last year’s event, franchise owner Kathleen Lam is excited to bring back the Mother’s Day celebration, now with the addition of French Champagne to compliment the range of sweet and savoury treats on the menu.
As a mother to a four-year-old daughter, Kathleen herself understands how difficult it can be to make time for loved ones. “Nowadays the role of a mother is much more than just looking after the family,” says the Belrose local, who has owned the café now for two and a half years with husband Samson.
"Mother’s Day is about ‘having a date’ with mum, to sit back and relax and have a great time. Having that quality time with loved ones, for me, would be the best Mother’s Day present,” she remarked.
The High Tea will be held Thursday 11 May, between 2pm-4pm. Guests will be welcomed with an elegant cake stand laden with a range of savoury and sweet treats, including a taste of Kathleen’s favourite dishes (such as the Salmon and Leek Tart), freshly baked scones, dark chocolate and walnut brownies, and of course, the choice of Jamaica Blue tea or coffee.
The Jamaica Blue Mother’s Day High Tea, will run on Thursday 11th May, from 2pm-4pm, cost is $25pp + $5 for bubbly.
