A new Jamaican rum brand, Kudjoe Rum, has launched in Manly – the brainchild of three friends who met while living in the beach suburb on the peninsula.
The brand was founded by Jamaican English Kieran Bailey, Jamaican and Australian national Nathan Patrick and Australian Chris Abbott.
The three met while living in Manly and brought together their collective experiences of Spirit Brand management, Social Media Strategist and Creative Design, to create a brand that the premium rum drinkers can enjoy and Jamaica can be proud of.
Kieran says, “Nathan, Chris and myself have always been lovers of Jamaican rum. We are passionate about bringing single origin, single estate, Jamaican rum to the world.”
The brand offers a select range of single origin, single estate Jamaican rum products to the market.
The Kudjoe Rum portfolio includes a two-year-old Gold Rum, two-year-old White Rum, which has been triple charcoal filtered, and true Jamaican Spiced rum, which centres on flavours found on the island.
Nathan Patrick adds, “Sourced directly from a small boutique distillery on the Island, our rum has a distinct and authentic flavour profile. Kudjoe Rum brings the best Jamaica has on offer.”
The premium Jamaican pot still rum is made using a time-honoured natural fermentation process that delivers full fl avour typical to the island, perfect for both mixing and sipping.
Kudjoe Rum’s rebellious yet playful spirit is inspired by the maroon warrior Kudjoe, who used rebel forces to fight for freedom and independence in Jamaica.
