Sydney celebrant Steve Wood officiated at weddings on cruise ships before becoming a fully-fledged celebrant to couples on the Northern Beaches and reality TV stars…
He began by performing Renewal of Vows Ceremonies for passengers when he was a cruise director on a ship based out of Tahiti.“I loved creating and writing the
ceremony,” Steve explains.
When he returned to Sydney he signed up to become a registered Civil Celebrant and found himself marrying the stars of the reality TV show, The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
“I had never seen the TV program, so meeting the seven Melbourne Housewives for the first time and working with them over two days of filming was very interesting to say the least,” he adds.
He says they had to film the actual ceremony about five or six times with different camera angles and camera and drone shots with it all taking up to three hours.
“I think it’s probably the longest ceremony I have ever been involved in!” he exclaims.
But says the bride and groom to be, Gamble and Rick, were a beautiful couple on the day and it all ended up running very smoothly.
