The Breakwater Ball charity event hosted by Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club and Lifeline Northern Beaches on Saturday 8th Oct was a successful event that raised awareness and much needed funds for continuing the work of saving lives on the Northern Beaches.
With support from many locals, businesses and sought after speakers such as Layne Beachley and John Brogden, the inaugural Breakwater Ball showcased the life changing work of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club and Lifeline Northern Beaches throughout the Northern Beaches.
This Breakwater Ball this year was a sell out with almost 200 guests supporting the two important community organisations, the initiatives of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club and Lifeline Northern Beaches include phone counselling and suicide prevention services as well as providing support for beach patrols, first aid, sport and surf awareness training (from nippers right through to adults).
Kevin Harris, President of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club and David Thomas, CEO of Lifeline Northern Beaches were very impressed with the night and thanked all the supporters of the event.
"We could not have had the night we did without your support, and we look forward to seeing you next year!"
Breakwater Ball will soon announce a SAVE the DATE in the coming months for 2017's Breakwater Ball.
